I see Toney getting absolutely demolished. He's not fit enough for the ground game, on top of his inexperience. But I'm not sure UFC is trying to make boxing look bad. I think it's just a way to get one more high-profile bout out of Couture, who otherwise wouldn't draw anymore. Seems to be UFC is struggling to put on top cards, or they're just putting on too many. What was with having Liddel fight again?

Of course they did. Take an MMA great and put him in against a boxing great in his first MMA fight and you know the outcome. Which is why im pissed as fuuck James is doing it.

It can only make Boxing look bad if boxing fans are ****** enough to take the fight serious. Just enjoy the freak show that it is, The only ones that can come out looking bad in this is MMA, Couture is suppose to win 99.99% with no doubt, if he doesnt or its even a close fight, then MMA will look horrible.

keep in mind one of Couture's primary training is boxing. but he already said explicitly in an interview he will NOT be standing up with Toney. He will take him down as soon as possible

Toney has a chance. I have been watching some UFC lately and while James will be in trouble if his takedown defence isn't adequate, the punches in the UFC are utter **** as far as technique, speed, accuracy and even power go. A boxer of Toney's calibre will do some serious damage to those guys if any try to trade with him. Or if he is able to catch them leaving themselves open (which they do ALOT)

I'm not a hater, I'm just saying what I see. I see SO many wide openings on those MMA guys in several aspects of their game, the way they set before a kick, when they strike, lunge in for a takedown, anyone who knows **** about fighting can see this surely. Also many of these guys are very slow and ponderous on their feet. A good boxer has plenty of opportunities to move in, land flush and get out.
