Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps would eat a whole slew of egg Mcmuffin sandwiches during training.

But go figure, the amount of hours he spent training and the total body workout of swimming alone it never had any effect on his performance/physique.

Athletes have conditioning coaches too and need to pass certain tests, run sprints in certain seconds, etc. So if you overeat as an athlete then that's your ass.

Side note: After Cotto wieghed in against Manny he carbed up with hamburgers and other "fast food" to give him an advantage though he still lost.

Getting fit is like 80% diet 20% exercise. Unless you're a pro athlete that trains 12 hours a day you have to eat healthy.

Also floyd was talking about eating 1 slice a pizza, 1 hamburger and a coke? That's not even a lot of food for somebody who runs 14 miles a day.

One of my buddies used to have the IBF Heavy belt, and he never, ever ate "healthy", he would just tell us "No diet is going to bring you success, eat what you're going to eat but portion yourself right".

You can eat pizza, big macs, whatever, but youre not going to get away with eating eight slices of pizza or a large big mac meal and two double-cheeseburgers one the side every night.
