What a double standard & clear duck if there ever was one.

He also said that he could be promoting Dawson some day, maybe he doesn't think that he would ever promote the Canadian - who strictly fights in his hometown.

And please Hopkins fans don't say he's 'earned' the right to pick his fights, boxing is about matches not mis-matches

Yes I will say it, he has earned the right. But what mismatch? All I see is comments that Bute will beat him, that Bute will retire him, that Bute stylistically is too much for him at this stage. Some even went as far and said that Bute will KO him?

You must be in the minority calling it a mismatch.

Hopkins doesn't even box any more he mauls; he does more MMA than boxing. he charges in head first grapples, mauls gets seperated and repeats which isn't boxing at all.

Anyway I know this comes off as a bit of a rant guys and I'm sorry but imo Hopkins needs to fight Dawson or vacate 175 and perhaps the sport entirely. He's cherry picking to bulk out his resume pfff

Yes you're right, it did come off as a rant. Exactly what is your beef with him, the way he fights or that he isn't fighting Chad Dawson?
