When is this guy gonna start acting like a world champion, man up, and fight the best in his division?

He will start using the Floyd duck excuse very soon "Goldenboy Promotions are doing one hell of a job with Amir Khan's carrer."

I mean, in three or four fights time, when he's probably rematched MAB, fought Erik Morales and Casamayor, will the penny finally drop for some people that this guy is complete and utter fraud of a world champion?

"We are lining up some pretty big fights for him, including the winner of Marquez-Diaz or potentially Maidana or Michael Katsidis," Schaefer said, adding that Khan would be ringside to scout Marquez-Diaz II in advance of a fight in November or December.

"These are exciting fights. That is the direction we want to go. But eventually the fights [with Bradley and Alexander] will happen."

They want absolutely no part of any of those names. They rejected the tournament idea flat out, despite what Khan says in the ring after his fights, he and his handlers really want no part of those cats - a disgrace.

It's just as well Khan has plenty of mug fans who will pay to see him fight any old cab driver. Take on all comers warriors like Carl Froch get little publicity, but this guy who is the most carefully matched "world champion" today for some reason doesn't get too much flak.

I think they are still trying to groom him. I think they realize going up against Bradley and Alexander at this stage is a massive gamble. He's young, just 23.

So from that perspective, the perspective of the promoters/match making, I get it.

As a fan of course it sucks, because the proposed tournament would be great for us. As for his career, I think Devon would knock him out and bradley could possibly beat him as well, so again, in golden boy's eyes they don't like the risk/reward.

You've left out the fact that he is a title holder. He should be defending a 140ib title @ 140 not @ 135. That is what's really annoyed me.

I'm not stating my approval for what's going on, just trying to look at it through the promoters eyes. I can totally understand why they wouldn't want part of this tournament right now.

JMM and Nacho turned down a fight with Khan before because he felt like Golden Boy was trying to us him as a Stepping Stone for the younger fighter

why are you chasing down Older fighters like JMM and Casamayor when it is plenty of young fighters in your division more then worthy of a match with you and Alexander, Maidana and Bradley are all title holders

the Money thing is just an excuse IMO, I can understand when your at Mayweather, Pacman or Oscar level and your a veteran on top and one of the biggest draws in boxing but to use "Money" as an excuse while you are trying to come up as a young fighter is just a joke, he is 23 he should be taking on ALL COMERS at this point in his career and if you beat all of them then your demands for more money and bigger fights are valid
