Maxim Vlasov vs. Jerson Ravelo tonight on ESPN2

Jerson Ravelo (20-4, age 32) is a fast and skillful American boxer who had an outstanding amateur career. He's previously fought Andre Ward and Allan Green. This will be a very good test for Maxim Vlasov (17-0, age 23).

Sherzod Husanov (14-0, age 32) of Uzbekstan was also an outstanding amateur. He'll be in with Columbian brawler Jhon Berrio (15-6, age 25).

This looks like a decent fightcard.

Of course, we'll need to put up with Teddy's predictable negativity toward Vlasov and Husanov. He'll be saying Vlasov has an advantage because he's younger than Ravelo, and Husanov has an advantage because he's more experienced than Berrio!

Otherwise this should be a good Friday Night Fights.

ESPN has been putting on better fights this year than in 2009.

Too bad they haven't replaced Teddy Atlas, though.

Ikeke was injured a couple of weeks ago, Ravelo replaced him.

The main event is Husanov vs. Berrio.
