don't waste your time. You are conversing with a poster who likes to be argumentative just for the sake of it. This is the same guy that said
Hatton was a bigger draw than Mayweather------> nevermind the fact that someone quite rightly pointed out if that was the case he wouldn't have gotten less money and had to move up in weight just to fight him.
I never said that Hatton was the bigger draw of the two, but I also don't expect you to understand that since your interpretations are normally skewed towards that of your man-crush.
I CLEARLY said that Hatton brought value to the table based on international television distribution rights in his country, similar to that of what Wladimir and Vitali share in Germany. The PPV's sold on the other side of the pond were higher than those sold in the US....as usual you remain a stranger to "proper context".
I especially love how you clowns claim to purport facts, which are normally skewed towards your favor. You want facts, here are a few....
1) Did Floyd have bigger PPV numbers last year, as opposed to PAC? YES
2) Did he still agree to a 50/50 split then, even when he held higher numbers? YES....which begs the question...WHY?
3)Which leads to another question, he still has bigger numbers now and nothing has changed in that regard, so what is difference between 2009 and 2010? (Now keep in mind, I think he eventually dominates and stops Pac), but all of this back and forth is just part and parcel of who he is as a person, he needs to express his *********** in one manner or another, or in his eyes he isn't being validated.
Difference between you and I? You think I'm a Pac fan, which I am. I appreciate what he does in the ring, especially having it done it so rapidly in the last 2 1/2 years, prior to that weighing that of a twig, yet I can still credit Floyd as being the best talent on the planet and I think he dominates Pac eventually, "if" and when they fight each other. I respect him as a fighter but as a man, the guy is an insecure clown.
too bad some people looks at the fight negotiation in a business (PPV buys) point of view and not as a true sports (boxing skills) point of view.
just wonder if these people are true boxing fans or just some kind of business men in boxing that doesn't really care if the fight does not happens if Floyd will not get his more purse demand.
if that was the case floyd would deserve 70% because manny is no where near floyd maywether when it comes to boxing skills
They should fight for free to see who is best. Yes, I know that's ridiculous but can you imagine if this was just about what we the boxing fans wanted.
The sad part is that all the fan boys for Floyd and Manny (even the ones that come off as non biased, and get easily exposed as groupies in the end) keep saying the SAME THINGS ALL THE TIME.
50/50 PERIOD. Enough with these moron posters with the "fact" bull. Goes both ways. Example being that i remember people would RIP GBP for always "inflating PPV numbers. Whats funny is that since GBP started hooking up with Floyd, those same people use PPV down to the T.
Im tired of defending Floyd. Ive done it for too long, and him pulling 60/40 is making me have my doubts about him, and his so called "legacy".
People discrediting Manny and Floyds impact on the sport are morons. They NEED each other. Stop using 2.4 mil buys as Floyds leverage. Oscar DID THAT. JMM BARELY cleared 1 mil as reported. Shane is a household name. There are circumstances if you want to compare PPV numbers. I understand some of yall are die hard fans of one or the other, but jeez, the emotion i see on lots of peoples post is just funny. THOSE ARE THE FAN BOYS.
if this fight not made, the one who looks poor is floyd! beacause manny can go to 154 for eight devision title and continue his honor as a true champion, and people will think about floyd that he is the one who ducking pac, and the whole world will thinks about pac is the #1 pound 4 pound king
