  • OK, here is a serious look at Sam Peters progress

Its true Peter is young, and still developing. These are the 2 biggest excuses given why he fights nobody and all that so since everyone here seems to think he's the future great, lets look at his predecessors.

Lennox Lewis was 26 in his 24th fight KO'd Frank Bruno to DEFEND his World Championsip for the 3rd time. He had beaten former Champ Tony Tucker, and had KO'd Razor Ruddock who also gave Tyson 2 of his toughest battles. Lennox had also been ducked by the recognized unified Champion Rid**** Bowe who gave up the most prestigous of his titles rather than face Lennox.

Mike Tyson was 20 years old when he won the Championship.

Muhammad Ali was also 24 years old in his 24th fight, which was the 5th defense of his World Championship against Henry Cooper. Ali had beaten the likes of Sonny Liston (twice), Floyd Patterson, Doug Jones, Archie Moore and George Chuvalo.

Evander Holyfieldwas 28 in his 24th fight which was his Hevyweight Championship Winning Knockout of James Buster Douglas. Holyfield had previously unified the Cruiserweight Championship and had already faced Heavyweight contenders and former champions such as Michael Dokes, Pinklon Thomas and Alex Stewart.

Fixed. I always remember Tucker being KO'd because Lennox dropped him a couple of times. I saw that fight about 2 years ago.

Larry Donald is a bad choice. He needs action fighters that get wild and crazy but have accomplished SOMETHING.

Where the hell is Tommy Morrison and Michael Moorer when you need them?

id like to see peter against any of the other up and coming prospects. brock, beck, harrison, guinn, maybe baby joe if he was still around. i think also williamson, k. johnson or juan carlos gomez should be considered.

or let him kick monte barrett's ass out of the heavyweight picture.

larry donaled is the 31st rated heavy, thats a waste of peters time, hed technically be stepping down quite a bit.

I think a perfect fight would be Shannon Briggs vs. Sam Peter. Both are heavy punchers and make for good action fights. Briggs experience and right hand would really try out Peters chin.
