The Mack center is also a dump and is unable to hold a fight of this magnitude. The fight would happen at the MGM because the casinos will fork over a huge amount of money for the site. Those saying Staples because it is close don't realize that it will be nearly impossible to score tickets to this fight. From a fans perspective if you are on the west coast you better pray it goes to Dallas because that's the only way you're getting in.

From a boxing fan point of view which venue is more appropriate for this magnitude? Keep in mind that Floyd doesn't want to fight outside of Las Vegas but if the price is right I think the fight would happen. Do not factor the PPV as this fight is very huge, every ticket will be sold out. Even if they fight in Iraq, Mosque will be close there and suicide bombers will turn off the clock just to have a glimpse of this historic event.

1. MGM Hotel
Pros :
- 4hr drive from L.A.
- high rollers will generate more money to Nevada
- celebrity friendly venue
Cons:
- limited seating
- expected high ticket pricing
- cheap seat needs binoculars

2. Dallas Stadium
Pros:
- more seating
- cheap ticket price
- super mega HD screen
- boxing fan friendly venue
Cons:
- high ticket air fare from LA
- Few celebrities

I think that it would be rude if the fight wasnt in Vegas.

Vegas has faith in boxing when times are tough, this would be a good chance to repay the favour and it would be like spitting in their faces if they took it to Dallas, Yankee Stadium etc.

I agree. All of the big fights happen in Vegas and rightfully so. It's an amazing atmosphere and boxing can been there for so long. Having big fights in places like Yankee Stadium seems abit artificial to me. It just doesnt have the same feeling...

We will gonna protest if they going to force our God Floyd to fight in other states other than Nevada, they can even let the fight happen in hover dam or in lake Tahoe as long as it's in Nevada state territory.

Yeah that is true.But 100,000 fans at a stadium for a boxing match,would

Staples Center, 25 min drive! most celebrities you can handle (like we care), good seating, great venue.

I've been to fights in both Staples Center and the MGM Grand. The MGM is much better, IMO. The cheap seats at the Staples are really high up.
