PR fighter always fight the lesser mexican competition they can, its a known fact my best friend is boricua (from the island) and he told me himself. for example, ur boy ivan calderon fighting jesus iribe!!!! are u fkin kidding me?! that was a "championship win for PR" what a joke. or how about cotto vs. alfonso gomez. thats dumb ****. theres so many more mexican boxers and not all are elite, so PR boxers the better ones fight the lesser comp of mexicans. known fact. but let me remind u that SAL SANCHEZ beat the greatest rican boxer of all time, sanchez KTFO of gomez. so smile.
You got to be kidding me, so your saying that when PR vs Mexico it should only be considered if the Mexican is an elite fighter so in that case we can take away victories from Mexicans that beet regular PR fighters come on now. Ivan vs Iribe somehow he was a #1 or 2 contender for the title if Iribe would of pulled the upset you wouldnt be mentioning this so lets just be realistic. Everyone talks about Sanchez vs Gomez dude there isnt a complain about that the kid Sanchez was bad ass what can I say but what does that prove are you saying Frankie Randal was a much better fighter than Chavez just cuz he pulled out a victory, no one new who Randal was till he beat Chavez he beat him but it dont make him better. From what I seen in Sanchez he had freakin potential to be the greatest it wasnt meant to be I guess cause we know what happened in his car accident a rematch could of been even bigger but hey we got to go by what we remember Sanchez was just to much.
So lets not call the Mexicans that PR fight lesser comp cause if there fighting for titles its caused they worked hard for it something me or you havent done and probably would never obtain if we tried.

Amazing that such animosity exists between two countries with very little in common other than boxing. Shame really but this boxing blog is nothing more than a sound board for a bunch of cowards who wish to promulgate their nonsensical hatred towards one or the other for whatever their personal reasons all in the guise of loving boxing… do us all a favor and stfu!
Ortiz, Chavez, Gomez, Sanchez, Benitez, Zarate, Trinidad, Morales, Cotto etc...etc… All great so WTF!

Totally agree with you, it dont matter where the fighter comes from if the fighter is good hes good its cool to have a rivalry just like every other sport has but once people take it out of hand and start to offend well the only thing it leads to is the other person to do the same Boxing is a world sport and we have been blessed with our country providing top contenders lets praise the fighter and not hate
