Klitschkos will be kings!! My very 1st Post.

as a casual boxing fan i read these forums fairly often as i have found them to be a great way to access information about a lot of fights that i am unable to see. i have refrained from posting for awhile despite quite a few posts that were really begging for it.

i have chosen now because i think the arguments that go on about the klitschkos on this board are completely ridiculous and riddled with complete misconceptions and total inaccuracies.

just as an example of how ****** some of these arguments are scroll down your page for a poll question asking who would win in a fight between kevin mcbride and wladamir klitschko. this is a ******ed question. total mismatch ending in ealry round knockout by klitschko, yet people actually voted that mcbride would win this fight. this clearly shows a blatent bias as any informed person would know that this is a complete mismatch.

as for all this bull**** abuot vitali is ducking so and so and this and that. i hate to break it to you, he isnt ducking anyone. theyre all ducking him. i keep seeing posts that imply such things as he didnt even have surgery and just made it up and all kinds of other nonsense. well look at it this way. hes the champ, he worked to get there, he earned it. he isnt the first, nor will he be the last champ to delay a fight due to injury, and he certainly isnt ****** enough to rush back into the ring at 85% just to appease a bunch of people who are just going to hate on him anyways.

as for not taking a certain bout to f#ck with don king on behalf of his brother. good for him, f#ck don king. put brewster or byrd in the ring with wladamir klitschko right now and he will destroy either of them, thats why it will not happen. byrd knows it, hes already been beaten senseless by him and brewster knows what hes up against and clearly isnt eager to do it again. (Brewster beat him fair and square, im not arguing this. i just believe that the next time around klitschko wins and id put a lot of american dollars on it.) and if you look at it that way you have to then take into account that vitali is considered to be superior to wlad. which basically leaves them as the two best fighters in the division at the moment. for all this bitching about which chump vitali will fight next why isnt anyone stopping to ask why the other champions dont want to fight vitali?? i consider rahman a bum, vitali will kill him. anyone who says vitali against byrd and that hes a punk for it is also full of crap. vitali was dominating the fight, and he knew it. he also knew he was injured and it could be serious. the fight ultimately did not matter as it was not for the belt and vitali had already gained the confidence that he could beat byrd to a pulp if it ever came down to it again.

chris byrd - split decision over a 270 pound jameel mccline.
lamon brewster - has god on his side
    rahman- sucks
    ruiz- sucks
barrett - i wonder if he remembers all 5 times wlad knocked him down?

    in the interest of statistics:
a lot of people say things about the level of competition that the klitschkos face. look the at their careers and then come talk to me.

in vitalis last ten fights his oppostion has a combined record of 356 wins and 33 losses(.915) thats an average record of 36-3 for those of you without math skills. for a comparison take haseem rahman. his last ten opponents have a comibined record of 356 wins and 77 losses (82%). more than double that of the opposition faced by vitali. hell, rahman in 2000 fought the 11-31-3 marrion wilson for the vacant maryland heavyweight state title after having already fought tua. wlad klitschkos last 13 opponents have a combined record of 372-23 (94%). so far as i can tell from the records neither klitschko at any point has taken time off from ersious fighting to challenge some jackass to the Grand Heavyweight Championship of Kiev.

bottom line is this. for all you people hating on the klitschkos you better enjoy it while it lasts. because as soon as don king allows it these guys are going to be in the business of retiring all your favorite fighters, and controlling the heavyweight division for an extended period of time. youd be best served to start praying that audley harrison or samuel peter grow into the real thing.

im sure ive missed some things and im sure some of you hated this post. but hell i figured id draw the lines. who is with me?

also. bernard hopkins could beat kevin mcbride.

Decent post but the ending sentence made no sense. How can hopkins beat McBribe? Power disadvantage.

I actually agree with him. McBride is more inept than Primo Carnera. I can see this guy losing to middleweights and lightheavies. Jeff Lacy would likely knock his ass out.

First off I wanted to say welcome to the board!!!!!

I agree Klitcko Mcbride is a horrible fight mismatch or not the only losers would be the fans for having to watch such an atrocity.

As for the statistics that you have posted. Great statistically and on paper a lot of things look great. The budget and forecast that the government organizaton I used to work for looked great on paper and all the higher end management would walk out of meetings pleased and would breathe a sigh of relief. guess what? come time for the new fiscal year to start we were way off budget. Statistics in terms of data are marred much in the same way an income statement or balance sheet is. It shows one form of data but not all relevant data. The statistical vantage that you have shown fails to measure other important data necessary to analyze boxing. It does not measure stamina, Health, ability, speed, power, ring generalship and a host of other stats. The info you provided was nice as I have never actually taken the time to do such a statistic. However it fails to measure the important data. (However many others on the board will fall to their knees and use this statistical data as a point of argument forever).

He earned it? against who? his only great fight was a loss to Lennox Lewis. If Lewis had not retired, he would not have the title, he just happen to have luck of the draw in that one as Lewis was originally slated to fight Kirk Johnson who pulled out. Also Lewis came in out of shape and for a rematch much like the Rahman fight Lewis would have come in in better shape and handed Klitchko his ass. He then fought an out of shape Fraidy cat in kirk Johnson, who gets knocked out by his shadow when free-sparring (This was the eliminator for Lewis title). Kirk is one of the only men in boxing who I have seen say he is afraid of another boxer. remember when he fought Maskaev he said that. Next he fought Corrie Sanders who had just demolished his brother, this is how Vitali won the title. Then next was Danny williams. All atrocious mismatches. Yes he has the title, and you can never take that from him. (As for the other things I will just leave it at that he has the title). Now look at who he wants next, Oleg Maskaev, Mcbride, Peter Mcneely comon do you all see a trend here. Also remember it was Vitali who gave rahman his word yet he has gotten out of the fight on three seperate ocassions. Also Vitali claimed he wanted to win over american fans and win Win over america. Question how do you do this if you only fight foreign fighters but you do it on our soil. Look at the list of opponents do you see any american fighters in there? No!!!! As pathetic as our fighters may or may not be. he cannot continue fighting these hand picked tomatoe cans and all of these non-american heavyweights if he wants to take over america. If he would kill out Rahman who seems to be the only legit challenger, and kill out James Toney or Brewster then as he nixed them off the list one by one all critics would have to hush. He would gain our respect if he did so. Granted he may can get a tune op ok fine if he is gonna wine abou it. But after that he needs to fight Rahman first (the guy he promised) then everyone else after that. Toney, Brewster, Burd or whoever else who actually has a pulse and throws back punches that he wants to.

Well that is enough for now, I am not trying to flame you as many on this board will think that I am. Again welcome to the board!!!! Looking forward to the response and tons of negative Karma hhahahahahaha (who cares)

this post is only a major flop if and when i turn out to be wrong. and i will be the first to admit it.

as for the statistics, i am very much aware that they are flawed and fail to measure many intangible aspects of boxing. i just thought it was some food for thought. the point being how bad of comp are they really fighting of the guys are averaging 1.5 losses for their careers.

the bernard hopkins comment was in jest, just my way of saying that talking about mcbride is a waste of breath.

one more thing that i believe shows the potential of the klitschko brothers is the fact that emmanuel steward is their trainer. he wouldnt be in their camp if he didnt think that they could do something special.

as far as kirk johnson, yeah he fought the guy, and yeah hes a bum. the same bum that lennox lewis was gonna fight as his farewell to boxing. and the corrie sanders is the same one who all tha haters said he would be knocked out by just like his bro. the criticism of comp has only really come after the fact.

as far as rahman, yes youre right, he should fight him like he said and i believe he will. if he doesent i will hate on him, but that wont change the fact that i dont see anyone beating him anytime soon.

here is a question for the forum:
if klitschko fights and beats rahman, do you think byrd, ruiz, or brewster will actually fight him at that point? or hell would they even fight his brother?

Don't listen to DiegoFuego no one likes him here. Look at his red negative karma bar. Its obvious. Decent post and good statistics. However I think Vitali needs more fights to prove himself champion. He needs to start fighting people like Rahman. The fight with Danny Williams which he took was embarassing.
