just beating duran for de jesus was like la motta to SRR for me. Lolz. Albeit Duran was still relatively approaching prime when he met de jesus the first time.

Vasquez -- 3 weight champion. and a road warrior at that. I forgot how many years he fought overseas but ironically lost a razor thin decision when he finally went back to fight in PR .
Good stuff mate. Like you said it about opinions, I surely can apreciate yours!

Wilfredo is my #11, esteban De Jesus, could be in it too!!!
I agree with Tesla that both Vazquez and DeJesus are in there and probably>Calderon TBH....

But, anyways counting both weight-class :

But, even if you do he only has 17 just like Tito if you count Tito both weight-classes. I had to go look this up. These are his title defenses

        1. Lorenzo Trejo
        2. Alex Sanchez
        3. Roberto Levya
        4. Carlos Fajardo
        5. Noel Tunacao
        6. Gerardo Verde
        7. Daniel Reyes
        8. Isaac Bustos
        9. Miguel Tellez
        10. Jose Luis Varela
        11. Ronald Barrera
        12. Juan Esquer
        13. Nelson Dieppa
        14. Hugo Cazares
        15. Rodel Mayol
        16. Rodel Mayol
        17. Jesus Irrebe

And, one of those title defenses was a draw. I guess you can count that as a successful title defense. But, anyways who am I missing who is the 18th?

Tito don't have to look this up and is not in order. But, I know every single title defense he has. And, he did it with no draws all of them were wins.

        1. Garcia
        2. Stephens
        3. Camacho
        4. Carr
        5. Campas
        6. Pendleton
        7. Zulu
        8. Lueshing
        9. Lovato
        10. Barnes
        11. Moore
        12. Turner
        13. Whitaker
        14. Pineda
        15. Oscar
        16. Thiam
        17. Vargas.

So Calderon does not have the most title defenses out of all the Puerto Ricans he shares that with Tito. And, Tito has all win no draws so I would give that edge to Tito. So IMO Tito holds that record since it is all wins.

I don't know man, is your opinion. But, I would have Torres, Vazquez, DeJesus, Camacho Cotto>Calderon maybe even DeLeon. So Calderon probably wouldn't have made my top 10. But, that is my list. Your list is still pretty good.

In my opinion Esteban De Jesus accomplish something that no ther Boricua did, He beat one of the ATG at his prime in Roberto Duran what else compares to that. He will always be known to be the man who gave Duran his first defeat and thats back when Duran was at the top of his game.

Calderon is way too high. His opposition sucks compared to the other guys.
