What British soldiers did to Duddy's uncle is a shame & in some way I could relate since u.s. soldiers have done the same here in Puerto Rico(The Ponce Massacre---> where on a palm sunday the u.s soldiers opened fire on unarmed people during a peaceful protest & injured 100 protesters & killed 19 including a 7 year old girl who was shot in the back)..(Going back to Duddy's Uncle)But this happened to Duddy's uncle 38 years ago, ¿shouldn't they have held a 10 count at a boxing event back then? or ¿Is scumbag Arum trying to use this horrible incident to hype up the match?

The anniversary wasn't today. The result of a 12 year inquiry was released yesturday which finally declared that the Bristish Army was at fault for Bloody Sunday and that none of the 14 civilains murdered posed a serious risk to the soliders that shot them. This is after the British government's first inquiry lied by claiming that many of those shot were carrying guns or nail bombs.

Bloody Sunday was a real turning point in the north of Ireland's history and the results of the inquiry was watched live on a big screen in derry by over ten thousand so it's appropriate to have a ten count for jackie. Also the international media covered the story so i wouldn't be at all suprised if Arum did know about it

the above thread is correct. the official report just came out stating that all the people shot by the British gov't on Bloody Sunday were innocent, unarmed civilians. Jack Duddy was the first person to be shot on Bloody Sunday by British troops back in 1972. It's pretty cool they're doing this in his memory.
