Cotto didn't try at all after the 6th round. If that isn't quitting I do not know what is. He gave up trying to win, and tried to make it to the finish line to have something to hang his hat on, but even that was denied to him, when little Manny would have none of it and TKO'ed him for it, thus making the fight even more sad to watch.

He did make the Margarito, Clottey and Pacquaio fights a lot less interesting after he started backpeddaling. He also basically quit in the pacquiao fight, not trying to win or go out on his shield, and still got stopped, that really turned me against him. The least you can do if you run is not get KOed, if not its just sorry. The only people who can do that IMO are shot old fighters, or scrubs.

No I do not defend Clottey, he quit as well, and made it an objective to reach the final round for moral victory like cotto did, but he at least made it. Both didn't come to win.

It's impossible to compare the efforts between Cotto and Clottey.

Clottey, at no point, came to win.

Cotto will fight anyone, he is a throwback in that regard. Man I was rooting for cotto against mosley so thats bull. I just don't liek his fight game at all.
