Cotto has difficulty fighting pressure fighters and is used to counterpunchers where he can relax and think just like when he fought Foreman, Malignaggi etc..Cotto is a very smart fight IMHO

I still think Cotto is the only one in the game with the tools to beat Mayweather. He's versatile, tough and highly skilled. He has power in both hands and good boxing ability. The thing that works in Miguel's favor is that Floyd will fight at a pace that suits Cotto.

Pacquaio is just relentless and moves too much...Floyd on the other hand doesn't. I think their timing and precision is nearly on par. Floyd has defense on his side that will give Miguel fits. Mosley had Floyd on Ellerbe street early but couldn't pull the trigger...at this stage...Cotto will go for the kill.

In all honesty, this is about as close of a matchup as you'll get. Nothing Floyd does will overly trouble Miguel, where Floyd wouldn't have fought anyone of Miguel's caliber since his 135 days.

I can see a SD in favor of either fighter.

I always say this but Mayweather probably wins but if anyone is going to give floyd a loss I think it would be Cotto.

Floyds speed would definetly trouble Cotto but he has fought several fighters with that speed and the only time it was really a problem was with Pac who was pressuring.

We see one of two things this fight. Floyd attacks and pressures and puts it on Cotto, or we see a decision win that is closer then we all would expect.

People look at this as a mismatch only for the fact that Floyd is the best fighter in the sport and Cotto is the guy trying to get his name up but there is ALOT more to this fight then that.

Its hard for me to pick a winner at 154!!I know the majority picks Floyd easily, but I think Cotto has at least a 40% chance of winning!!At 147,I gotta go with Floyd,I have decided that by the way he fought back after being hurt by Mosley & thoroughly dominated afterward, that no welterweight power is koing him!!All in all,if Pacman-Floyd doesn't get made, then Cotto is the next best fight!!

Besides the angle of Manny Stewart training him & he is now a title holder at 154 & looked great his last time out,his fans are gonna make the fight an interesting affair!!

By that logic, Then Mayweather has only fought B status fighters. And according to Mayweathers own words Marquez Hatton and Shane were all THE BEST. Miguel COtto beats hatton marquez and he beat Shane already.

I say if Mayweather fights Cotto and does his tests, we see who the cleanest best fighter really is. Cotto has already stated he would agree to any test to prove his athletic accomplishments
