yeah i watched, i was a fan of his and i made some dough of the tyson fight from some people who didnt know boxing. i remember him getting knocked out by rahman and lennox returning the favor and i also remember the silly decisions by the judges in the fights with holyfield....umm whats the point of this thread?

Especially when Bowe ducked him and dumped the WBC title in order not to defend it against him. Wasn't much of a fan of his but used to watch. He became so much better under Steward

I didn't watch much boxing around this time. This is when boxing started slowly catching my interest as a young teen/pre-teen.

But now that I watch his fights I really appreciate him. The Vital fight was a great fight. Controversial result but it was still a sick fight. He was a decent champ. Maybe not one of the best but he was good.

Lewis generated little excitement and interest prior to the Tyson bout. In fact he was largely hated and ignored by the American HW boxing public in the 90s.

Well I didn't watch him before the Tyson fight because I was like 7.

But now I have watched his fights, I consider him a great boxer.
