So what?? Just about every country in the UN has a national basketball league in their country.

BASKETBALL is hugely popular throughout the world.

Much more popular than boxing.

American Football will never catch on worldwide you need to much equipment and supplies sports that cater to poor and lower class are sports that thrive and become popular I think basketball is going to really catch on globally within the next 5-10 years

I would have to agree with this.

Also the basketball set up in Europe is very similar to the soccer set up. They have their version of the champions league (Euroleague) and their club players are raised in academy's with youth teams where they are groomed to become professional's when they reach their later teens.
