    Diego Corrales.

Im starting to get respect back for this guy. i always liked him but i was disapointed in the way he handled his fight againts my favorite fighter. There it ladies and gents straight from the horses mouth.About the low blows he was doing the same though out the fight. I cant waut for a rematch! i wouldnt mind seeing him in with floyd also.I think this time it would be competetive.

Diego countered: “I’ve got a cure for the controversy. I fought half of round seven without a mouthpiece, and I didn’t hear anyone making complaints then. Throughout the entire fight, I could have taken time out for a number of low blows. I did not complain, I did not take time, I fought. I showed what I was about. I couldn’t quit or let it go, I was never going to give up."

“The fight was up for grabs. Both of us had fought very, very hard, and when it came down to the stretch it was the fact that I hurt him very, very badly. And we had been beating the life out of each other for ten rounds already. Jose Luis was mentally strong to stand the punches that I’d knock most people down and out with. If I’d moved I could have made it a little bit of an easier fight. I don’t like that. There is no pride in running from a fighter. "

“I’ve never felt the kind of pain, I’ve felt after that fight. Never in my life. I felt things inside my body that people should never ever feel, and I did feel it."

“But after this re-match, he can call me for anything. I’m going to give him my home phone number. If he needs someone to spar with or to help him with some work, I’ll be there to help him out.

“If we don’t go to hospital this time, we’ll grab a beer together and split the tab. That’ll be just awesome.”

I look forward to the rematch, but I thought Chico was going to fight Freitas in a mandatory rematch.

    Anybody know what happened there?

Not to nuthug the guy but Chico is a cool dude, I've met him twice, I never lost respect for him but I feel that he could have handled a couple of situations, both inside and outside the ring, a little diffrent.

in that same article chicos manager stated that the corrales/castillo fight still had to be worked out. its not a signed deal yet.

i hope he dont have a rematch yet. if and when he fights castillo again he'll win in an easier fashion.

he's dieing to move up in weight.

would like to see him fight cotto at 140. then mayweather at 140 or 147.sweet revenge. let hatton wimp out in england. he knows better than to take any of these guys on without his ***** parris.

no i don't think thier first match was easy. anything but. second time around goosen/corrales will be ready to face the one dimintional castillo and make adjustments. castillo is a known quantity and will be a dangerous fight for corrales.

If Castillo is anything like his friend, Erik "The Thug" Morales, Corrales can forget about spending time with him after the fight, especially if Corrales beats him again.
