To answer the question, I am actually clueless I admit. I don't know what happened there. Looks like Forrest was just in there with the wrong style. I mean you would think Forrest would outbox Mayorga, but it didn't happen. Mayorga just owned Forrest in the first fight and then showed it wasn't a fluke by owning him again in the rematch. It was shocking. And then Mayorga was beaten easily by two guys who boxing fans say ducked Forrest(Trinidad and DLH). Mosley also had trouble with a past prime Mayorga. Mayorga just has a difficult style where you have to **** with him like Trinidad and DLH did. I don't think Mayorga is the type of guy you get all fancy with, you have to go right after him. That's the only thing I can think of.

Spinks outboxed Mayorga and imo Forrest was just a better and taller version of Spinks.

I had forrest winning the rematch. I'm confused wy you say he owned him a second time, when he did not.

Cory Spink's ability to remain calm surprised the heck out of me. There was no fear in Spinks that night. Mayorga failed miserably at trying to bait Spinks in; even resorted to taunting him. No offense to Forrest (May he RIP) but Forrest faught scared in that rematch; you could easily see that he doubted himself.
