    12-0 vs 12-0

ok everybody wlad and manny are both 12 and 0 in their last 12
Wlad: fought 5 undefeated fighters, 2 with loss 2 with 2 losses 2 with 3 losses and 1 with more than 3 losses (6).
manny: fought 1 undefeated fighter, 3 with 1 loss, none with 2 losses, 3 with 3 losses and 5 with more (4,4,5,5, and 10)

i think people are overrating manny's recent run to an extent as a lot of the fighters he's faced have been old or over the hill.
barrera, oscar, morales (3rd fight), larios, and velasquez were clearly over the hill and had little chance of winning. solis also had little chance of winning. thats 6 out of his last 12 had no chance.

if you look at wlads opponents, rahman is the only one who was clearly old and over the hill. maybe you could put brewster in this category.
guys who had no chance: williamson, castillo, and ray austin.
thats 4 or 5 who had no chance.

looking past those 6 and 5 fighters...
manny beat morales in a rematch, marquez, david diaz, ricky hatton, miguel cotto and clottey.

morales rematch: great win at the time, revenge for his last loss
marquez: too close to call, barely a win.
david diaz, great performance against inferior opposition. tko win
hatton: great performance against a half drunk fighter who was maybe 1 year past his best, but lackin in motivation. KO
cotto: great performance against another fighter 1 year from his prime. for cotto and hatton these were a punishing year though, cotto b/c of the marg beating hatton, b/c of booze more so than the ko loss to floyd. TKO
clottey: great performance against an ok fighter. did what he had to do UD

Wlad beat chambers, chagaev, thompson, ibragimov, brock, byrd and peter.
chambers: great performance, shutout against a good fighter, KO
chagaev: great performance against a very good undefeated champion (if not for b/s politics), TKO
thompson: similar to david diaz fight, in that he beat inferior opposition but ended in a KO.
ibragimov: great performance over very good undefeated champion (UD). didnt lose a round.
Brock: great performance and KO against an undefeated prospect who was on a nice run at the time.
Byrd: great performance against a champ who had probably seen better days a year or two ago, but who wlad had beaten before in his best days. TKO.
Peter: solid boxing, against an undefeated power punching prospect who later became champion. UD

my point is mannys run is not much (if any) more impressive than wlads, and wlad is at least #3 p4p.

Pacquiao's resume is way more impressive than Klitschko's resume. I do agree with you on Wladimir being in the p4p list but most don't put him because he is a Heavyweight.

what in mannys last 12 fights is more impressive? like you many are reluctant to include heavyweights in p4p rankings, which is understandable. i just think in comparison, fans slightly overweigh mannys recent accomplishments.

how about floyd 41-0 in his last 41 fights....the haters can say what they want but being undefeated while also being the top p4p is very impressive(until he retired) and is now once again in my opinion.

manny pacquiao's climb in weight classes is also what makes his career and current status better.

Wlad is the most unfairly treated fighter of all time. If Wlad got the Ali treatment in which he could define when his prime was, every loss would be considered pre-prime or post prime etc...wlad would be considered the best ever. Wlad also punishes 95% of his opponents into submission. Something Pacman doesnt do. Dont get me wrong, Manny asserts his will and beats tons of guys up, but one thing that makes Manny great in many people minds is his ability to go to war and win. Wlad would prefer to not go to war, to stand back and punch someone in the face until they tire. Manny gets the credit for beating guys who put up tough fights. Problem with Wlad is the guys who beat him Vitali then beat and many others and theres no point in the fight, and other than his lossed, no one really battled him. I guess Peter some, but 1. thats arguable and 2. Vitali massacred him.

I like Manny, but I think youre right that he is a bit overrated right now and my p4p list looks like
              1. The Greatest of all time Floyd Mayweather
              2. Manny Pacquiao
              3. Wlad

It is true... It isn't easy to stay dedicated for 15 years consistently, and keep winning.
