Marco Huck vs. Matt Godfrey on August 21

WBO cruiserweight champion Marco Huck will take on American Matt "Too Smooth" Godfrey (20-1) in Germany on August 21.

Marco is keeping busy. Guillermo Jones hasn't fought since winning the WBA title in 2008, while this will be Marco's EIGHTH fight in that same time frame.

Godfrey, who is trained by "Iceman" John Skully, has never been stopped and has only one loss in a competitive fight. This should be a good one.

    WAR GODFREY, WAR SCULLY.

(I gotta root for one of our own Boxing Scene posters and his troops)

Should be a great fight. I will say Godfrey by SD 12.

I read they might do a super six at Cruiser, this should be part of that but I guess it's going to be awhile before the tourney starts?

I think fighting so frequently is good for Marco, it keeps him sharp.

Too many fighters have been ruined by inactivity.

The fight is coming up in just two weeks now. I've now added a poll to this thread.

This fight depends on Godfrey's chin. If it's good, he loses a decision, if it's not, he's getting knocked out.

Yes. Huck's punches are a bit sloppy by times, but he definitely has power. Godfrey's chin will be tested.

                  Godfrey sucks.

Nothing more to add, I can just tell you want more people to respond, so I'll bump it for you.
