After being a world class JWW I don't know why he wants to downgrade himself to Italian and European champion. If he doesn't have confidence that he can compete with upper echelon talent he should hang up the gloves.

I wish him luck, I'm a big fan of his fight attire.

Paulie should try to score a fight with Jan Zaveck. That would be a huge fight, Italy vs Slovenia, as they are right next door.

Why do they think he'll even have fans in Italy? He doesn't fit into the style of a European boxer nor do they like obnoxious Americans over there.

Pounding on Matthew Hatton seems to be sweet revenge for his loss to Ricky. He also wants to use that to lure Ricky out of retirement for a rematch. There's also a few easy titles he could pick up from guys like Lovemore N'Dou and Jan Zaveck...But then again he'd have Randall Bailey to worry about and that fight wouldn't end very pretty.

It's funny that Paulie trashed Hatton for years, called him a "Euro-Bum", got his ass kicked by Hatton and another Euro fighter, and now is going to end his career as a "Euro-Bum" himself.

Paulie is a great fighter. Hopefully he will re-bound from this pretty quick!

It seems like a step backward. Going from world titles and the the world stage to national/regional titles. While not a fan, I don't think Malignaggi ever backed down from a fight and his trash-talk made the build-up interesting. I'll never forget his phone call to boxingscene just before the first Diaz fight where he predicted he was going to be robbed, pretty funny stuff.

Italy isn't code word for Jersey Shore, right? Good luck to him.
