The UK is a nation of consumers and all the means of production are owned by foreigners. This just shows how uncompetitive the UK promoters are and soon every boxer will be signing with Golden Boy if they wanna make money.

Long back the UK people used to own factories, car plants, banks,Chocolate manufacturing companies but now they just work for them. What a great nation this used to be,all because of the 'talented armateur' principle

When it costs a lot less to import than produce, you save a hell of a lot of money. It's called good business.

3 of the 5 worlds largest banks are in London, canary wharf is the the most powerful financial district in the world. More so than New York.

Please inform me where english people work at car plants, factories and chocolate manufacturing companies.. the reason these businesses were sold is because the english people would not do this work for minimal wage, so they were sold to countries where the labour is cheaper.

          Get ur facts straight son.

The Sunday Herald is a Scottish newspaper - it is not a national UK paper. It is not read outside Scotland, other than by Scottish expats. By national standards it therefore has a very small and extremely regional readership.

Far more significant is that Bunce writes regularly for The Independent, which is a national newspaper, with a far larger readership; and for Boxing Monthly, which is a national boxing magazine - as well having two shows on the BBC, which is a national broadcaster and which probably gives him a larger audience than all the other outlets combined.

So "Steve Bunce of The Sunday Herald" is a rather misleading moniker. "Steve Bunce of the BBC, Boxing Monthly and The Independent" would be the best description. If you want to restrict your description to just one outlet, then "Steve Bunce of the BBC" would be the best description.

If the Bunce article only appeared in The Sunday Herald then I guess it has to be mentioned, but in that case it would be better to say "Steve Bunce, in an article in The Sunday Herald", rather than "Steve Bunce of The Sunday Herald".

Minor and pedantic point I know, but it looks odd to British readers, as he's probably Britain's best known boxing journalist, and it looks funny to see him described as if he were primarily a Scottish writer.
