Why did Cotto decide to box when he was landing at will. Thats one question that will always hunt me. A better corner would have noticed it. With steward in his corner for that fight Margarito would have gotten stopped like the potato sack he is. A past his prime determined Mosley did it , and Cotto was in his best moment. Bad corner. Steward will get miguel to avenge his loss

I don't think he can throw bombs like Mosley did round after round so can't see him stopping him, but he can take rounds off him and win a decision if he boxes intelligently and manages to not get broken down.

It took Margarito 11 rounds to break him down the first time (wraps?), so he stand a really good chance of outboxing him if he can make it the full 12. ****er needs to learn to clinch.

Cotto was outboxing Marg for the first half of that fight, but he was getting hit a lot round after round. It took a lot for Cotto to use his legs for the first half, he had to slow down sooner or later. If Marg was cheating then i see Cotto having a good chance of outboxing Marg for the D, but if, as i believe, Marg was just too much for Cotto, then i see the same fight happening again, possibly worse.

Of course this fight is a few years later and few pounds north, so i can't be sure.

a) tony didnt cheat that fight, its specualtion at best
b) cotto STILL, even in the foreman fight, throws 2 punches and backs away... just like he did against tony, SSM beat him because he would throw 2, throw 2 more and then tie tony up so he couldnt walk him down

I hope so, but if margarito cant get his license back then he should fight chavez jr. (another tune up) then angulo, hopefully margarito gets his license back by then. Then beat margarito and the trilogy will be it for him, then retire. its possible( The new mexican Killer)
