    hmm

The fight was dirty and perhaps the ref was on Hatton's side, but I was getting tired of Tszyu anyway and would like to see Hatton fight Mayweather. Time for Mayweather to go down. Only thing is I may not be able to root for Hatton too long due to idiotic Brits being so biased for Hatton and acting like Borikuas do for Tito (or used to).

That alone is sometimes enough to make me not a fan.

Can't say what because the last thread was deleted because I posted the link, i think. It was a dirty fight, but the whole hatton and ref thing is true. They need a rematch. On neutral ground. I think that's the bottom line. I'm not saying the outcome is going to be different, but KT deserves that.
Oh, in that case I retract it, Godz.

I have to say, the way it's done, it really does sound as if it's you presenting this as your opinion. Mind you, I did wonder what the "other website" bit was.

I think there's a lot of overreaction from some Limeys on here due to UK fighters getting trashed a lot. When we get one who is a genuine contender we tend to get excited.

Hell, there's still some people who wet themselves over Henry Cooper being in the top ten heavies back in the 60s...

I agree that way too many things about the fight just looked "wrong" and that on neutral ground with a different ref. the outcome most likely would have been completely different. If Ricky feels he won that fair and square, then I dont see why he'd have any problem giving KT the rematch, and he keeps swearing he'll fight somewhere other than Manchester..so that would be the perfect opportunity to do so.

I wonder if Tszyu would want a rematch? His form (Philips) suggests he lets his losses go.

I wonder if it would also prove anything anyway? People are already (retroactively) saying Zoo was nearly shot... besides, he took such a beating in that fight you could argue he wouldn't be the same fighter.

I agree it was a very dirty fight and the ref did absolutely nothing. However Hatton came into the fight knowing that if he fights this kind of fight on the inside and not allow Kostya to fight his normal style that he would win. So he did a good job by fighting on the inside, but used allot of flagrant ways of achieving the victory.

The way you read this fight on here you'd think Zoo fought like a saint. I don't even like Hatton, but they were both dirty fighters that night.

Yep, my sentiments exactly. There was a fair amount of illegal blows from both parties. Tsyzu accepted that he was beaten, and that's what counts. Illegal blows can be part of the game -Duran Buchanan anyone? Bring it home Ricky!

The dirtiest move of the night was made by Tszyu....
& that was quitting a world championship fight, with only one round to go. One round of a close fight. Quitting, while being paid millions.

Hatton beat the fight out of Tszyu (I wanted Tszyu to win, & picked him to demolish Hatton).....& you all need to stop griping. You all sound childish. Focus on how your hero quit....****er doesn't even deserve a rematch.
