You can make a good case that Cotto has fought better competition the last few years, but career wise Mayweather has a massive advantage in competition faced. Cotto has only fought good competition for about the last 3 years since he moved up to 147, Floyd has been fighting good competition since 1998 when he was at 130.

Gotta give it to Cotto. He has one of the best resumes in the sport right now.

If you think floyd would lose to margarito that is your opinon, or pac...thats your opinion, but him and floyd have alot of common opponents, its not exactly light years ahead in competition. also i think basically it seems to be ok to just completely ignore floyd body of work and overall dominance he had at the lower weights. Cottos resume at welterweight is better than floyds, but cottos overall body of work and especially his accomplishments, basically aside from cottos two losses, shouldnt cotto be ranked ahead of floyd in all time discussions if his resume conesnsus is so "SUPERIOR"

this is a very bizarre discussion
You read my post wrong, I meant that each other would have positive outcomes if facing each other opponents. I exclude Pac ODLH

All of those guys have been knocked out, and they are all inferior in skill to Floyd, and Dlh would beat the ****e out of Cotto and Margarito at 154...

Thank you lol... I thought I was in the Twilight Zone... I won't ever say a fighter like Cotto does anything better than Floyd because Cotto does nothing better than Floyd...not even fight better comp.
