Brewster defends against Krasniqi in Germany! Sep 28

It seems that a deal has been struck and Lamon Brewster will defend his WBO Heavyweight Title against mandatory contender Luan Krasniqi in Germany.

This fight will be held on Wednesday the 28th of September 2005. It does sound weird being on a wednesday, but this date coincides with what would have been Max Schmeling's 100th birthday (had he not died earlier this year). It is guaranteed to be one of the biggest shows in European History.

This could be a risky fight for Brewster as the Germans are renowned for controversial decisions and appear to do their utmost to make sure their fighter wins.

good point and that is what brewster will definitely be looking for.....if it goes to the scorecards, it could be difficult for him.....as we've seen with umpteen other boxers going to germany.

but it must be to his disadvantage knowing that he really needs a KO......this gameplan could go against him and he could tire early.....

Calzaghe fought this way against Veit and I was very concerned that if he didn't get a KO early to mid, he would tire out.....luckily he did eventually get the KO.....otherwise he could have been in some **** in the late rounds.

Yes u are right but u train for 12 rounds at high intenisty that means, if the guy fighting comes storming out from round 1 u should be able to throw lot of punches from 1 to 12 if u cannot do that do not get in the ring

true what you are saying, but that is what Vivian Harris thought also...LOL.

I think if Brewster does come out firing it will work against him, as I also believe that atmosphere might also have an affect on him......it is not easy over there in Germany.....

i think brewster has a very smart corner, and he listens to them. I he doesn't get the KO in 1 he will be able to go back to boxing. Brewster also has great stamina

could be........either way i predict a great fight with some ups and downs.....i think it will go to the scorecards though.......

i don't think Krasniqi can knock out Brewster...so if there would be a stoppage you'd have to think it would be by Brewster.
