David Lemieux vs. Elvin Ayala: thoughts and predictions?

This is a quality matchup for Friday Night Fights.

Ayala is skillful and slick, and has only ever been stopped once in his career. He has an advantage in experience against a world-class opponent (Arthur Abraham) and two other better fighters that Lemieux has yet faced (Mora and Simon). He's in his prime at age 29.

Age 21 David Lemieux is an exciting up-and-comer. He's won all but one of his 22 fights by KO. He has wins over three decent journeymen: Raines, McCrary, and Smichet, but Ayala will be the most skillful opponent he's fought.

This is an interesting fight. What are your thoughts and predictions for this one? Ayala isn't easy to hit, will Lemieux be able to stop him, or will it go the distance?

I've never seen Lemieux fight. But I have seen Ayala fight and he's no soft touch for almost any middleweight.

Great Friday night fights, I've watched Lemieux fight maybe 4-5 times. Most of them are only a round or two but he went 10 rounds a few fights ago and looked pretty good. This is by far his biggest step up, we'll see how he does.

I have a feeling Lemieux will knock Ayala out, maybe even earlier than Abraham but he will have more trouble with Ayala than Abraham did. It's just that I think since Ayala has been knocked out before, he can be knocked out again, maybe easier than he was the last time.

Never seen Lemieux, but for anyone who has do you think his power is real or more a product of opposition?

In any case I will be watching tomorrow.

His power is real. But I'm not certain he's fast enough to deal with a slick boxer like Ayala. We'll see soon.

I'd like to think so too, but he didn't knock out Jason Naugler. Donovan george stopped him in 4.

Do you like Donovan George tunney? He has some flaws, but he's growing better a bit each fight. He's entertaining as hell too
