I was asked last night how I thought Roy Jones Jr would fare against myself...

What mind techniques did Joe use to motivate himself for that all important world title defence? Why did they fail to motivate him for the local blockbuster grudgefest, Calzaghe-Froch?

    Why Carl, why?
When Calzaghe fought Mario Viet the second time I'd just put on a performance that made the world sit up and take notice: beating Dzmitri Adamovich at the Goresbrook Leisure Centre in Essex.

Calzaghe's only motivation that night was knowing that if he faced Viet, it meant he could duck The Cobra.

It would ave been a good scrap, but Roys insane athleticism would have Carls head spinning. Roy by UD, but a good fight for certain.

PS Carl - Think Zaghe will face you if you win the Super Six and call him out?

he's already said he misses the payday.

I love this guy... whoever he is.

Yes you would have destroyed Roy Jones, and Calzaghe, and Hopkins, and you will walk through the rest of your super six matchups, and after that you'll outbox Bute to a shutout UD.

Carl Froch will be the best SuperMiddleweight of all time and retire as a top 10 ATG.

/\ This man knows the clear worth of the Cobra.

So did Joe Calzaghe, that's why he never got in a ring with me.

You might knock the shot version of Roy out. 90's version of Roy wins a very, very wide D.

Love your threads though, keep it up

Doorag, you're wrong, and I'd knock you spark out if you came down to my gym in Nottingham, but thanks for the compliments.

I see Joe Calzaghe never gets into a thread with me, just like he never gets into a ring.

Cobra by k.o in less than 9. Prime Roy had just as bad a chin as post Tarver Roy. Furthermore, The Cobra isn't a sucker for all those chicken feints nor is he impressed by a man that fashioned his style after poultry.

There would be nothing he could do to avoid the anvil fists of the Cobra crashing on his china chin.
