Hope the Khan critics are happy now. We could have had a fight with Casamayor in July and Maidana in Decemeber but no they couldnt let him have 3 fights a year and forced him to take just two fights a year!

The Khan critics only have themselves to blame.

I'm glad. Supposed boxing fans were complaining when they would have had one extra fight to watch in a dry summer period. Oh well. One less chance for you haters to see Amir Khan get knocked out.

it would be shame if he fought bradley before because i think he can beat bradley but if he loses to maidana first he would never get a chance i guess, but who knows maybe he can beat maidana

just run like hell for 12 rounds! most guys make mistake trying to brawl with maidana
i think casamayor and ortiz could have easily outboxed, easy but went toe to toe
i they can surive 6 rounds of brawling im prety sure they could c dun 13 rounds of running

Thats boxrec's Top 15 for the division.

Since the date is quite soon, You can't expect a MEGA fight.

But still, 2 Good names and 1 or 2 OK names is better than fighting just 2 Good names a year.

Surely he could have fought someone in that list.
Wow how you have Khan ahead of Devon?that is bull****.

Maidana will get KO'ed, the fight needs to happen to stop the "ducking" labelling by these so called boxing fans. Though then again, if he wins then Maidana will be a one dimensional bum and he should have faced Alexander or Bradley.

Most boxing fans already know Maidana only has a punchers chance, as soon as the first few rounds pass Khan should have complete control. I would be dissapointed if he didn't KO Maidana as Ortiz nearly managed to blow him out pretty quickly.

The people saying Maidana will win are people who either A) just plain hate Khan or B) have not been watching Khan's fights since the Prescott loss and are basing their prediction on that.

I'm not saying Maidana can't win, if he lands a big punch Khan's chin could cave in, but in my opinion he only has a punchers chance if you look at actual boxing skill level.

The thing with Maidana is his puncher's chance gives him a bigger edge than most considering that we have yet to find out how sturdy Khan's chin really is at 140lbs. Maidana isn't the best 140lb guy, but he's also a guy that I don't think fighters are rushing to get in the ring with either. He's been knocked down and gotten up to win fights, which shows how big of a heart Maidana has regardless if he's not as skilled as Khan.

I'm tired of how boxing is filled with these part timers.

2 1/2 months was plenty of time to fight again.

Twice a year is not taking the sport seriously, especially for someone like Khan who is young and its not as if his fights are "MEGA" events yet.

                      Sort it out.
This is by far the biggest problem in the sport. Lazy, overpaid fighters who are under promoted and overprotected.
