I think SRR is timeless and he has no doubt inspired all of the great P4P fighters who came later but I must state that these white boys he's knocking around the ring have never heard of defense. Its rare that Ray ever faced fighters like himself. For 1 there was no money in fighting other black fighters especially defensive guys.

The money was in New York Madison Square Garden, they wanted to see a white guy beat him and thats what it is. Not me being racist thats just how the sport was back then.

still it would be an awesome fight to see. both are explosive fighters. to match them up both in their prime, at 147, would be a fight that many ppl hundreds of years from now would call "the legendary fight"
lol, i may be over exaggerating, but still, i would pay the devil my soul to see that fight.

What SRR did is remarkable and puts him on another level to anyone else in boxing history.

Nobody else in the history of the sport has probably been as above the level of competiton out there as SRR was while also proving how great he was by beating the best fighters out there.
