Can someone explain this?
Tygart - "We chose not to test for blood closer to the fight than we did because there was no need to do so. But, of course, if we had some sort of cause or SU****ION that meant that we needed to do more blood tests, let's say, five days, or, four days before a fight, then we certainly would have done it."
I thought the idea of OST is that everyone is a suspect, up to the day of the fight?
The bolded part is not a good argument for USADA on why they had a blackout period of 18 days. They need to come up with a better explanation than, "we have no reason to suspect..." (paraphrase).
If Mayweather accepted the 3 blood tests, we may have been able to see if Pacquiao is really on EPO. Guess what Mayweather refused.
Travis Tygart:
A: "The human growth hormone for sure, levels of testosterone, and other designer steroids. Sounds like you've got some information -- I'm not agreeing factually that was the difference, and I'm not disagreeing. But if that's the case, the other piece is that, prior to that 14-day or 24-day blackout period, what system was in place? Were you just using the Nevada, or the state of California, system? If that's the case, I'm not worried about the 14-day or the 24-day blackout period, I'm worried about the rest of it. If someone's telling you that's where it fell apart, I think you've got to add the follow-up, 'Well, what kind of testing was going to happen before the 14-day or the 24-day blackout period?' The 14-day period, I'm a lot less concerned about that than what you're doing in the two months before that 14-day period."

No it's obvious that I've had blood drawn before and I don't buy these BS excuses. We don't need a specialist to tell us how we feel when we have blood drawn this is all BULL**** and you know it. Dude has tattoos all over and he's worried about some damn blood testing? BULL**** and you and everybody else knows it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Comment

If that's the case call Tygart out on the cost. Call him a money-hungry opportunist in the press and let's move on but this isn't about that. This about about Manny being able to continue this charade.Comment

Those guys didn't go to med school for 8yrs, and lets not pretend they have a surgeon's nerves.
Back on topic, I thought the re-used needles and STD was a lame argument.Comment

Im not arguing in you accepting Pacs views, im talking about thinking about what the NSAC experts have to say. They are not protecting Pac or anything like that. They are choosing thier best interest and the option that will make them money, just like any commision would

My thing is why arent these guys on the same page when this is the biggest fight in boxing history? The common goal should be to make sure both fighters are clean in this fight. This is far too simple to drop the ball. Manny has tattoos all over which is a risky procedure but now all of this. This is BS because Manny should have been said let's do it. I blame all this on the only fighter in boxing unwilling to submit to random OST. I agree though, where are all the other states on this.Last edited by Sugar Q; 06-10-2010, 09:57 AM.Comment

If it didnt cost the reported 20k a pop, NSAC wouldnt have much of a problem, but when you have USADA telling you to "look for new revenue sources" to support the testing, then you know they want moneyComment
