Was it me or did Cotto seem a bit shot?

Even though he had good footwork, he wasnt too effective in cutting off the ring. I dont know maybe he just needed a comeback fight before his newly acquired training shows but I was not pleased with his performance, and I am one of the biggest Cotto fans, im just being honest. The reason for my concern is that I don't believe that the Cotto on Saturday night could win yet alone even survive against Pacquiao a second time, maybe against most other fighters, but certainly not Pacquiao or Floyd.
    Hell Yeah !!!

It's about time somebody pointed this out. I could barely stay focused on the fight he looked so horrible. Yuri looked like **** too but I never watched him fight before.

Cotto is no where near the fighter that entered the ring with Marg. It's unfortunate to think he has a belt he won't be able to defend.

Cotto is shot mentally and it shows physically. His movement was garbage, and his punches just didn't look right imo !!!

I get what you mean. I post in thread before something like this. Cotto was a bit wide with his punches and did get hit a lot with right and straight rights a bit to much (not 4 but around 15+ times), He wasn't that fast as when he fought Margarito and Mosley. And Cotto lost pop in his punches or Foreman has a good chin. Cotto did hit Pac with solid punches and did not made a dent.

Last time I checked, Cotto was never a defensive genius in the first place.

You saw Carlos Quintana land some good shots on Cotto.

          Along with Judah/Mosley/Torres/Malignaggi/Corley.

i think cotto has lost a step but i saw a bit of the old cotto, however yea he stopped foreman with the body shot, but he still doesnt assault the body like he did, but im willing to continue to try to see what he can do.

i never liked cotto much because i didint think he had much charisma, i mean for me he didint have that "it" factor, he was a good fighter who was to me, being treated like a great one and i didint agree with that. however my stance has changed as i want to see him be back on the road to a elite fighter in the closing years of his career.

Cotto hurt pac's ear drum but he didnt make a dent on him? ,I do agree with the fact that he got hit too much but In my opinion that has always been his problem, he gets hit way too much but I think he still far from shot.

LOL damn, it's crazy what people determine as being "shot" these days.

Meldrik Taylor is a prime example of what being a shot fighter is. He fought way beyond the time he should've fought and his speech today is living proof. Cotto's still 29 years old with 2 losses and was his 1st time at 154lbs and his 1st time with a new Head Trainer.

I think Cotto will look a lot sharper come the Fall with whomever he fights.

Of course he's shot. He lost to Pacquiao. If you do that, you're definately shot.

Damn Im one of cottos biggest fans and I study all his fights, and while he might not exactly look "shot," he's definitely lookin less then what I thought he was capable of. He did not show much of anything new and IMO he should've gotten foreman outta there in 5 or less. Like i said Im one of his biggest fans but you guys define NUTHUGGER. If you think he looked great then you need some glasses. He didn't even look all that good to be honest. and also Im starting to think that if foreman didn't mess up his leg would Cotto have Ko'd him? What would you have said then? I did say maybe he just needed a warm up fight after the Pac loss, but he undeniably looked less vicious and less effective.
