    If Vitali never did that 4 year layoff

    would he be better, and ranked higher than his brother...........

            Vitali quit because of injuries. If he had fought with these injuries, and wouldn't have been at his best. Maybe he would have lost to an inferior fighter? Klitschko did what he needed to so he could finish his career.

              Hard to say, I think he's still fighting at almost 39 because of the rest.

              Without the 4 years off, I think he'd have retired for good by now.

                No Vitali would have been upset bigtime if he never took a layoff. Those injuries were compounding on him.

                  He had multiple surgeries on his shoulder, back, and knees. He need to fix that and rest in order to still compete.
