The closest comparison to Vitali Klitschko was Joe Bugner. He weighted 240 lbs., was 6'4, and knew how to use his reach advantage. He was equally clumsy as the Klit brothers. But he was successful. He lost only to the best like Ali, Frazier, and Shavers. If he fought today, he would be champ. And if Vitali fought in the 1970s, he would just be another opponent and never a champ.

Vitali and Bugner are nearly identical. And they give the public an idea what the other would do in the other's era.

OMG you figured it out. Cause they look so much alike, Bugner's crazy flailing style looks so similar to Vitali and Wlad. I don't think so. Vitali style is based on the skills he learned fighting in the amateurs in the East. He fights tall, uses the stick and drops the right hand, nothing like Bugner. Bugner has a very British style
