What would a Win over Cotto do for Tony?

My boy and I were discussing this the other day and we both beleive that if Tony were to put the hurt on Cotto again in a similar fashion it would
1. Retire Cotto for good
2. Put Tony back in the superstar status he had before the SSM fight
Last but not least and most important
3. prove that he wasn't cheating the first time.

What are your thoughts on this?

Oh no doubt about it i would not be suspect anymore however I dont see it doing other than clearing his name though...

I am a Cotto fan but I wouldnt be 100 percent sure if Cotto could beat Margo.I see it as a 50/50 fight, I give Cotto a slight edge because he is a better boxer but I think that slight advantage gets erased by the brutal beating that he took in their first fight and it brings it back to 50/50. I would love to see Cotto/Margo 2 simply because it would be a good fight but even that we dont know if he cheated against Cotto I know for sure he attempted to cheat against Mosley and for that I think he should be banned for life. I would love to see Cotto / Martinez

Margs needs a "name" next....he had his back to the game fight....he won...now he needs to get his lic back to fight in the states and go for this Cotto fight.......this is the one to get him back on the map specially after the Cotto win over foreman......

in my opinion the whole plaster thing hangs in the balance of this fight.....if Margs comes out and lays the same type of beatdown he gave him before the plaster rumors can go away....however if he comes out and his punches prove to be ineffective vs Cotto then the plaster will be confirmed....

Either way questions get answered.......no doubt this is the fight they should make.....

It would indeed show he could beat Cotto without plaster in his gloves, but it would'nt prove it did'nt happen the first fight, it was obvious he had them in the last fight. That's my opinion on the matter.

Cotto rematch paves the way for a SSM rematch, then Marg can attempt to prove that his head was really messed up for that fight and he wasn't fully healed from the first cotto fight... or Margs gets his ass handed to him again...
