I'd like to interrupt guys,but one thing...suppose cotto takes the fight (which i encourage) and beats margarito (any style,boxing clinic,brawl whatever,)clearly,there should be no reason for part III.


IMO this is for all the marbles.Now i wont get into what happened the 1st fight,but if this goes down whoever wins there should be no debate,no part 3,and no excuse.

I know this would never happen but i think that if they fight again cotto should have the option of fighting legaly or loading his gloves, but his decision would be kept confidential.... that way after cotto bust margacheatos face open like pinata in 1 rnd all the margarito fans can scream cheater and everyone else can reply wheres the evidence....

Listen. I can guarantee you that this guy never had one professional fight. Nore did he get pounded with illegal wraps for 12 rounds. If so, he would be against any notion of a rematch like the rest of us LOGICAL fans. COTTO was peeing blood for days after and so was JOHNSON and CITRON. **** HIM! those guys that you mention didn't have the style to beat cotto,torres wobbled him,corley too but they didn't pressure enough,mosley doesn't even pressure or throw enough punches until the end of the fight and had cotto running, what happened when he faced guys who could punch and,and took his punches well?? look at marg,pacman and even clottey,if clottey threw more punches he would have won too....it's been proven he runs when pressured,punched back and guys take his punches well....believe me,he won't be facing williams,martinez,marg,pacman...but will probably face overrated jcc jr,or spinks,

We will agree to disagree on this one. if the price is right Cotto will face anybody put in front of him, he has done that over and over again, more than most of the boxers today in all division. True that he might take a JCCJ or a Spink, but eventually or even before that, it's also possible that for the right amount he accepts to fight somebody else. My opinion is based on the brawler history of Cotto and the willng to fight anybody during his career. Your opinion is based, just on that, on your opinion, because there is no indication in Cotto's career that he will not face the top dogs, inculding pressure fighters. he has always been willing to faced the riskiest guys, boxers that other refuse to fight, why change now, because you say so.

I should just ignore your post and pretend I had never read such a idiotic post but my E-Warrior attitude just can't stay quiet...

First, you have got to be the dumbest, most moronic piece of excrement ever defecated by BoxingScene. How do you not come out bruised, batter and bloodied up after fighting against a much stronger man for 11 rounds? Cotto started bleeding from the mouth after the 1st round and from the nose on the 2nd round, but of course your ignorance and nut huggery blinds you from the truth, this much is obvious.

Who landed practically every body shot from the 1st round and up? who was putting all the work downstairs to take his opponents legs away? who has gone to Cotto's body the way Margarito did? again, you are such an idiot that you failed to see the reality of this fight and where it was going after the 6th round.

It doesn't matter how strong of a puncher you are but if you are getting hit with power punches from different angles, someone who is cutting the ring, pounding your ribs and then starts landing headshots mid fight, you are destined to start bleeding and bruising, it's part of the sport, it's reality.

Margarito has never been a one KO puncher but his power is quite obvious and his KO track record speaks for itself. His constant pressure, body attack, and the head shots coupled with Cotto's quick ability to cut and swell was the result of such bloody mess.

Stop being such a frantic nut hugger and accept the facts and reality.

ummm....what fight were u watching??? he was bleeding from the nose after round 2 when cotto decided to trade and they landed almost the same amount of punches on each other. check the punch stats and watch the tape. then cotto went back to boxing. you probably yipped and yelled every time margarito touched cotto's glove just like the rest of his fans that night.

we're not talking about a little stream of blood, we're talking about the unbelievable amount of facial damage that margarito did to cotto that started midway through the fight. he didnt even start swelling till after the end of the 6th. there werent even signs of swelling on him. you dont go from fine to puffy in one round. let alone one round where 15 punches were landed on you. who gets stone hands midway through a fight like that. he got inflated lips after round 6. i watched margarito's comeback fight where he got to punch that guy all night. not once did he swell the way cotto did july 26th, 2008. that never happened in any of his fights before. he smacked kermit cintrons sorry ass around twice and never did he look like cotto. as for his ko record, when u trade with someone that can take more punches than you can then its just a matter of time before you cant take anymore. and besides, margo fought nothing but bums anyway.

you need to face reality and stop living in the dream world where margarito won fairly. he cheated, he got caught in his following fight trying to do it again. he cheated because he knew he was going up against someone who could beat him decisively and show the world that hes just another mexican brawler. then he fought someone who could go toe to toe with him and got WRECKED!!
