In my opinion that is not how it went. It wasn't that simple.

Pacquiao took his time in accepting Mayweather's terms. He danced around, accepted another fight. He made all his demands which were accepted by Mayweather, and refused to agree to the one thing Floyd asked. Which we now know wasn't unreasonable like Pacquiao made it seem.

Anyhow, Mayweather fights Mosley, Pacquiao realises he is not in a position of power like he thought. He starts agreeing to terms that are no longer being offered (rightly so by Mayweather, since he tried so hard to get the fight made the first time and Pacquiao said no to terms that he is now obviously willing to agree to. Shoulda said yes the time it was asked if he wanted the fight that bad). Now Mayweather is just doing what Pacquiao did first.

He is taking his sweet time and exercising his power to demand whatever he pleases. Like Manny Pacquiao did the first negotiations.

All that has happened is that they have switched positions. But.. Pacquiao fans don't seems to like it when it is done to their fighter. If Pacquiao can play the ass, why can't Floyd?

and make us boxing fans look like a fool?? Cmon u know FMJ done this **** in the 1st place...we boxing fans knew he will stay away with Pac as possible, if he is so confident in beating Pac he could have done it already

Anybody that lives within the bay area knows about the **** that happens at the wild card gym. All these opinions from people out of the country trying to make Mayweather sound like a coward because he's taking his time with what he wants is ridiculous. The misleading theory about this whole pacquaio on steroid things did not start with the accusations from Mayweather sr. Senior made the accusations public, but there were rumblings all around from boxers who have worked with Freddie Roach at wild card gym that echo the same sentiments that Senior has.

My question for people who feel mayweather is afraid is, does that mean that the 1st time they were negotiating and Mayweather agreed and Pacquiao didn't that pacquaio was afraid. Most guys here want to put the blame on mayweather and if you guys can get your head out of your asses you can see that this negotiating is setting up to be like the last one. Team Pacquiao saving face, going public with negotiation tactics (after bob arum admitted earlier that talking to the media was what killed the fight the 1st time).

Team Pacquiao isn't asking for this fight, he's begging for it. Fact of the matter is, Floyd can fight P. Williams, Sergio Martinez or Andre Berto and make just as much as he did for fighting mosley around 25-35million. Pacquiao needs a dance partner to do big numbers and earn nearly half that much. Pacquaio walks away for a guaranteed 40mil, to fight Clottey for like 6-10million. Why is that again? Because he felt the 14day cut-off (that all of a sudden is fair now) wasn't fair to him. Mayweather agrees to everything the 1st time, and Pacquiao sues him. Read between the lines and dont let the fact that manny is out in the media talking about how he wants to fight mayweather fool you. Just like you shouldnt let mayweathers silence about the issue fool you into thinking he's not interested in fighting.

Bob Arum benefits more keeping pacquiao fighting guys in his own stable, so as much as he would want to appease the fans and give them the fight most people want, dont think for a second he would not have a problem walking away during the middle of negotiations (like he did in January when reps from top rank were still trying to make a fight happen and he goes to clotteys camp to negotiate a fight with him. So as much as i hate to say it, get ready for Margarito vs Pacquaio, because it seems like Pacquiao believes he holds the same leverage as he did in January but his actions contradict that theory because he's the one I see begging, mayweather is taking his time, because he knows he can.

Those other boxers who are questioning Pac and his diet, do they realize why Pac is maintaining his strength is because he does not have to "make" weight anymore? Just training for the fight 100% and eating alot is good.
Did everyone forget that Pac has learned to use his right hand also? And this was just in the last few years. How do Boxing fans miss that?

i think the point is they didnt know when they would be tested. asking for 14 days for a fighter that is suppose to be clean is suspect. how about a 5 day cut off. pac said he needs 3 days to recoup from blood test so 5 days is more than enough.

i totally agree with make it happen. BUT, floyd has options and has madeBIG BIG money in his last 4 fights. he cleared 170 million in his last 4 fights. so floyd has options. he is a competitor so he wants the pac fight. but it is a business too and he will treat it as so. pac walked away from the table last time and said floyd didnt want the fight. NOW he says the terms he walked away from were in fact very fair and wants those same terms. so who really is playing games?
