    Comments Thread For: Klitschko-Povetkin News; Sturm-Mayorga?; Bute-Brinkley

I always wondered how Sweden entered the discussions as a possible site for the Carl Froch vs Arthur Abraham, and it seems like itīs all due to a misunderstanding. Sweden still donīt allow professional boxing in full and Helsinki is not it's capital. Froch vs Abraham will go ahead sometime in September with WBO cruiser king Marco Huck filling in on the original date August 18 with a defence of the title in Erfurt. [Click Here To Read More]

WTF? he wants Ricardo Mayorga as his come back fight after over a year of inactivity. Go back and look at other fighter's come back fights.

Mayorgas last fight was 100 years ago, plus Sturm has been fighting Bums for a while now!!

          Mayorga will win

Mayorga by early KO or an easy UD for Sturm.

Would like to see Strum fight Martinez or Williams, but I suppose he wouldn't want to do that in his comeback tune up fight. After whoever he fights next though, he needs to fight those two guys.

Goddamn Super 6 is killing my man Bute while he is in his prime. Jesse Brinkley? Come on, Lucian just KO'd a super tough guy in super tough fashion.
He will destroy Brinkley who will stand in front of Bute and try to fight him because thats all he can do.
I personally have never seen a fighter get hit like Miranda did then stand still and say "is that all youve got mate?", only to find out 1 second later that Bute did in fact have more, a savage uppercut that would have KO'd any SM.

I'm Ok with Sturm beating up a washed-up, blown-up welterweight like Mayorga in a comeback fight as long as he next takes on Golovkin, who has been his mandatory for a while. This is fine as a 10-round tune-up. However, if they call fighting a 36-year-old guy who hasn't fought in two years a "title fight," it will be a sham.
