Thanks, I copied and pasted it from boxing-records.com.

It's interesting that Roy Jones also competed at the Goodwill Games in 1986 as a Jr-Welterweight, but Roy Jones got knocked out of the competition by a Russian (on points) in the semi-finals whereas Collins beat a Russian in his semi-final. Also Collins knocked out Frankie Liles which Roy Jones failed to do as an amateur, infact Frankie Liles beat Roy Jones as an amateur! Could these facts be why Roy Jones was blatantly avoiding Stevie for a good three years in the mid-90's? Hmm, I wonder.

It's interesting to find this: http://www.cyberboxingzone.com/boxing/derek7.htm
After the fight, he (Collins) expressed a desire to either challenge Dariusz Michelawski (a recent winner over Virgil Hill) for the IBF/WBA/WBO light heavyweight titles or meet WBA super middleweight champ Frankie Liles in a unification match.
Seeing as Stevie beat both Dariusz and Liles as an amateur, I wonder if this is why they avoided him in 1997? Hmm, interesting.
