Bob Arum films boxing-themed TV show 'Lights Out'

Top Rank's Bob Arum and Manny Pacquiao (51-3-2) was at ringside at Yankee Stadium on Saturday night for the junior middleweight title bout between Miguel Cotto and Yuri Foreman.

It was a busy weekend for the 78-year old Arum, who also filmed scenes for the boxing-themed show "Lights Out" for television network FX.

    According to FX:

Lights Out, from Executive Producer/Showrunner Warren Leight (In Treatment) and Creator/Executive Producer Justin Zackham (The Bucket List), stars Holt McCallany as an aging former heavyweight boxing champion who struggles to find his identity and support his wife and three daughters after retiring from the ring.

Financial problems leave him at a perilous crossroads – battling the urge to return to boxing or reluctantly accepting a job as a brutal and intimidating debt collector.

Clark Johnson (The Shield, The Wire) directed the pilot episode. Phillip Noyce (Clear and Present Danger) and Ross Fineman are also Executive Producers.

The show should resonate with many boxing fans as financial problems often afflict the vast majority of prize fighters either during their careers as well as after their retirement.

"Lights Out" will make its debut in January.

Boxer Manny Pacquiao also stars in his own television show in the Philippines called Show Me Da Manny.

The Pacman, a congressman-elect in his country, recently starred in the movie "Wapakman" in 2009.
