I agree that the original cutoff date offered by Mayweather was fair, but the fact is that this is a whole new negotiation, and we as of yet do not know what's on the table. Pacquiao and his team put themselves in this situation, if the 14 days was fair and still is then why didn't they take it when it was originally offered? Now Mayweather's coming off a more successful event and a better win so it's he who has the edge in these negotiations, if he's okay with the old deal then he'll put it back on the table. I still don't understand why Pacquiao is jumping at a deal he refused earlier this year though? what's changed? & why the **** couldn't he have been so interested in making this fight happen a few months ago.

Maybe the Philippines have develop an A-side myth that can be used and washed out within 14 days instead of longer days and the Mayweathers intel have intercepted the info thus does not want a 14 days cut off anymore.. lol...Comment

Overall I agree with this post.Except the part were you say Mayweather was more talented then Hoya.I think Hoya get's a bad wrap,He clearly fought the best of his era and mostly everyone of umm was in their prime's I can't say the same for Mayweather. So no matter how much we say May is more talented because he is undefeated no this,Mayweather's two biggest win's were against guy's who were clearly not prime anymore(Hoya and Mosley)They were not shot by any mean's and still dangerous fights but were clearly not prime.More talented I don't know Hoya fought for his popularity in the sport on the come up.It's because he took the fight's that people wanted to see that's what made him popular(it did'int hurt he was a nice looking guy)He fought the tough fight's and why he has been a living still active HOF for year's now. This post is not dumping on your post just felt the need to bring this up.Well, Pac vs. Cotto PPV numbers were reportedly between 1.25 million and 1.5 million. After Cotto coming hot off his big win and Pac's stock up even higher, I bet they AT LEAST match Mayweather vs. Mosley's 1.4 million buys (as reported by Ellerbe), and comfortably more internationally.
Pacquiao is reaching for the biggest payday of his life, yes, so better Mayweather because he won't get one bigger than the Pacquiao fight for all the remainder of his career no matter who he fights.
I have no doubt whatsoever that this fight gets made. There is entirely too much money on the table for them to walk away. I don't care for Mayweather's brand of marketing. You still usually attract more flies with honey. De La Hoya was a much bigger star than Mayweather despite being less talented. Kill them with kindness, it's typically more profitable. To get away with the Tyson "bad guy" routine, you gotta have an aggressive KO type of style, I believe.
Ultimately, I just want to see the two best fighters in the world go at it, matching their unique types of skills with each other. Scientifically, Mayweather should easily win, but Pacquiao's been there before. Most will likely favor Pacquiao even if they really believe Mayweather will win in the back of their minds. I can't wait.Comment

When Pacman agreed with the 14-day blood-letting as set by Mayweather himself....and when Shane Mosley almost knocked him out in the second round...Mayweather was stunned,...what if Manny was my opponent???? hahahaha.....dat's why he is in hiding now for a vacation and planning to retire....so, how can he kick Manny's ass if he cowers from the challenge...why??o why my love??Comment
