Simply put, he feels the urgency more than ever, even more than the first time, to get this fight done. His career is likely winding down and has one more match left. He wants to give the people what they want. The fans and the media are more vocal than ever about this fight happening. Largely due to it fall alaprt the first time. The demand is much bigger. The way its currently set up, its perfect. March would have been way too early, not enough time to promote the biggest fight ever and little training time.
Now, both guys just finished their "tune up" match. They basically cleared out any boxers standing between them (cotto, marquez, hatton, clottey, mosley), leaving only them. The time is now. So for the sake of getting the fight done, he agrees to the original 14-day cutoff. Realistically, he doesn't have to agree to anything. Neither guy needs this fight to solidify their legacy. Although, Manny isn't going around saying hes the GOAT, hes just "doing his job". But to get the fight done, he's meeting Floyd's original demand. Now it comes down to who really wants the fight. And at the end of the day, these two guys will meet in the ring.
