Is Peter really his last name? I like that name. Is he a good boxer? Do they have any tape of him working out? I'd like to see that.Comment

Peter's only workout is to see how many marshmallows he can lift in one hand and fit into his mouth and swallow with one gulp. Add a jar of hogfat to that and Viola.
Peter would have gotten destroyed by Ike. (I can never rally behind anyone who doesnt train seriously) Besides he hasnt beaten anyone yet that will make you raise an eyebrow and look at him as a contender. At least he keeps busy though fighting all the time which is more than we can say for some people who have championship belts at heavyweight.Comment

Exactly. The fool who said that Ike would have detroyes Lewis and Holyfield back in '97 should be slapped. I liked Ike and thought he could give them fits, but lets not turn The President into some ****in norse myth or anything. His name was Ike not Zeus...Comment

1. Ike beat Tua
There are a couple problems with that argument:
(a) Since when did beating Tua turn someone into the best heavyweight of all time?, and
(b) Ike barely beat Tua: Tua came back strong after some early trouble, appeared to hurt Ike in the middle rounds and closed out strong, winning most if not all of the later rounds -- many observers, including the entire HBO cast, thought Tua won. Compare that to the completely one-sided boxing lesson that Tua received from Lewis.
2. Ike beat Chris Byrd in impressive fashion.
So did Wlad, and Vitali probably would too, if given a second chance. Nobody is lining up to call them the best heavyweights of all time. Andrew "52 Seconds" Golota drew with Byrd, and even Fres Oquendo appeared to beat him. It's just Chris Byrd, for Christ's sake. Was it a good win for an up and coming contender like Ike? Absolutely. Does it make Ike the best heavyweight in history? *****, please.Comment
