Was it just me, or did Kellerman have chemistry issues with RJJ?

Jim and Roy have always had great chemistry when they've done telecasts together, but Max didn't seem his normal, elitist self on Saturday. He didn't talk as much and the "analysis" wasn't there like it has been for him previously.

Roy exposed how little real boxing insight Max really has.

I could never understand why HBO ever hired Max Kellerman, when they could easily find someone better.

Yeah, I noticed it but most likely it's just first time niggles. Glad to see Jones back on the mic, regardless.

Of course they had chemistry issues, Roy knows what he's talking about and Kellerman doesn't.

            for example, what?
its obvious roy doesnt like to be questioned, counterpointed and isnt articulate enough to further elaborate on some of his points.

yup. roy, steward and lamplay would be the best combo. Roy a boxer with a high boxing IQ, steward an ex pro turned trainer, and lamplay a good analyst.

Max is too much of a prick. Roy doesn't like pricks.
