Cotto began his career at 140 don't forget it.
    Jackson's lowest weight was 149.
Jackson also fought at 160 , despite being a small 154.
True the size difference is not as huge as it seems here as Cotto really struggled making the 140 , and was later a massive 147 , Jackson was still bigger than him IMO .
I think they both have underrated chins although not great ones , underrated technique also , but Jackson still has the edge in size and power. So I tend to think Jackson wins by stoppage but probably not before the 4th round.

      They literally looked starched.

I agree with the general opinion in this thread that Cotto would outbox Julian until he gets caught by a nuke.

People overrated punchers, Cotto wins providing he doesn't get caught flush.

His fight to lose but definitely his fight.

most ppl only seen two or three of jacksons fights so they assume he wasnt a good boxer, thats not the case. jackson always came out going for the KO without worrying much about defense, but when he needed to box he could box very well. he was almost as good a boxer as cotto when he chose to rely on that aspect of his game. not to mention that he was a overall better fighter.

im not saying he would outbox cotto, but he wouldnt get taken to school like some ppl seem to think. if it was a pure boxing match it would be a very competetive and close pure boxing match. jackson was faster than cotto too when he wasnt loading up way too much on his shots, eighter way he beats cotto who is too easy to hit and stands no chance of dealing with jacksons power.

This is no mere puncher, this is the quintessential P4P king of punchers.

Jackson by Brutal KO... Cotto's chin won't stand up to that kind of power and punishment.

Would have to go jackson KO, cotto leaves himself open too much to punch and jackon would land very hard on him.

Jackson's skills weren't bad. Sure he was getting outboxed and outsped by Herol Graham and Terry Norris before stopping them, but there's no shame in that. Besides Cotto lacks the speed of those guys, and he's no defensive whiz. His D is alright but he gets hit too much, and doesn't have a great chin. His chin is alright, maybe good, at welterweight. Julian Jackson is perhaps the hardest hitting junior middleweight of all-time.
