Cotto already talking about going back down to 147...

Guess he don't wanna stick around to find out what will happen if he fights real competition at 154...

Miguel Cotto: My jab is back. My movement is back. The punch that finished the fight, the left hook to the body, was back too… I didn’t use my jab much in the fourth round, and that’s the point where Yuri Foreman took advantage… I felt pretty good fighting at 154. Boxing, for me, is a business. If we get offered something better at 147, we can get back to 147.
He'll probably vacate and move back down. Margarito is the number one ranked guy by the PR based WBA. Cotto don't want no part of that however. Williams and Martinez would do very bad things to Miguel at 154. People will be calling for these fights if he sticks around at Jr Middle. If he's talking about moving back down to 147 already, I'm thinking he's thinking Berto.

Or maybe this means he would like a rematch with Manny @ 147.

Why not, would you be against it if the Floyd/Manny negotiations fall apart?

Cotto vs Floyd would be that kinda fight, but I don't see that happening, but you never know. Berto is not a bigger fight than a Margarito rematch, or a Williams or Martinez fight for that matter.

No, I'd actually like to see it. It would silence all the critics talking about Miguel being drained at 145.

IMO Pac would only fight Cotto at 154 for the 8th title

He's basically saying he'll fight at 147 if the money is better. Cotto has never ducked anyone that I'm aware of.

Which would still be great though I don't see the end-result being any different except for a more competitive bout with a more experienced corner on Cotto's part.
