Who Is The Best Boxing Promotor?

Who Is The Best Boxing Promotor In America?

    Here are my views:

Oscar De La Hoya - Golden Boy: Very good at promoting big fights such as Mayweather Jr Vs Mosley, Pay the most to thier boxers, Get the most HBO dates, Downside they are terrible at building up thier fighters ie Ortiz-Maidana.

Bob Arum - Top Rank: Very good at building up fighters, Big events Dallas/Yankee stadium, Very experienced promotor. Downside is they pay alot less than other promotors like Goldenboy.

Don King - Don King Promotions: Very recognized promotor in Don King, Almost a symbol of boxing, Downside Don King fighters are put into brutal fights and have short careers, Ie Gerald Mcclellan.

Lou DiBella - DiBella Entertainment: Decent Promotor, Has world champions, Andre Berto, Downside cant compete with the other promotors in pay and stage.

Roy Jones Jr - Square Ring : Cant think of anying good, Mostly C- fighters in thier stable ie Salita.

I don't like Bob Arum much, think he cares about his own back pocket more than boxing....much prefer Golden Boy...but they are slightly inexperienced right now...I think in 5-6 years they'll overtake Top Rank but for now, Bob knows about promoting best. He knows how to match make his fighters more, he knows when to cash in, he knows most of the time who can be a big name and what not...Golden Boy are quite fan pleasing so they tend to stick their young fighters in more testing fights, and so their match making is a little off yet. Malignaggi Vs Diaz and Ortiz Vs Maidana....also Saul Alvarez was rocked by Cotto....could have been bad!

If you're a boxer, Sauerland is the best.

They are all crooked, but at least Sauerland seems to treat all his fighters well, giving them the best opportunities.

Even though Don King is a complete prick, he does make the best cards imo.

Golden Boy easily, better cards and better fighters

The Top Rank card last night was not good other than the Cotto fight, and a double header? seriously? make it at least 3 fights

goossen/tudor needs to be bigger. you never hear about them in any controversy or shady tactics. they just go about their business and support their fighters.

You do understand that is not on Top Rank right? If TR had the choice they probably would put every single fight on TV.

Your beef is with HBO not Top Rank.

gary shaw promotions, goosen tutor and dibella promotions are all good for the sport and the fans.

golden boy and sauerland are the best for their fighters.

                    imo..
