99% of well known fighters in the history of boxing have lost matches. The modern day boxing fan thinks every time a fighter loses a fight he's "shot" without any physical evidence other then the fact that he lost.

When you all proclaim a boxer to be shot, back up your claim with some evidence, not just because he lost.

Im not just trying to defend Cotto but just Look at marquez and vasquez. But ppl still give Rafa a big chance against Lopez , And i dont disagree , but why not Cotto.

Its all about matchups. U win some u lose some , sometimes its obvous to the fans what style will prevail.

Against margarito , Cotto would land 3-4 punches , and back up , jump around for a few more seconds , land 3-4 more punches , hard , at will , vicious punches , andback up , and just box. And that was the first time we saw him do that , and he gassed out. Plus he said he was swallowing blood and i dont know what else.

Why didnt he keep attacking , It was obvious who was the most skilled fighter , and who was landing the easier punches in the begining , but NOO , he tried to fight another way , and it cost him the fight and prob his confidence.

Thats the perfect proof , evidence of styles , he chose not to stand there and throw. I was so mad , when I saw in the first round the **** he was pulling I told my dad , He is going to lose. specially because of the way he was waling back to his corner after ever round of trying to outbox him.

That **** pissed me off. It was a complete , complete **** up , And I dont care who sayd what , With Emmanuel steward , IF Cotto vs Margarito 2 happened , Cotto will be told by his corner that he is the faster more accurate puncher , to just l;et his hands go and keep ttacking and eventually , Plaster boy will go on his butt like he did against Mosley.
