I feel like Michael has fought more recently than Cory. Seriously.

I'd like to see that fight too, Cotto could probably win that fight and he'd end up a multiple belt holder at his new weight class. Could set him up for big 154lbs fights after that. Could even help him prep for a Sergio Martinez unification in that both Yuri and Spinks are somewhat speed dependent boxers, as is Martinez. I've always been a fan of unification fights.

I think its a great idea actually, mainly because it gives Cotto one more bout with Stewart. I think that is worth more than picking up another belt, though it doesn't hurt either.

Cotto is going after bigger fights, wouldn't surprise me if he ends up fighting Sergio or Williams. No matter how much risk they are those are the elite at the moment.

Then there's a problem if he fights Angulo because Kermit is going to scream his ass over how he holds a win over him, and if he fights Cintron everyone's going to ***** how Margarito won 2 times against him.

I want Williams or Martinez, specially Williams so he can shut everyone's mouth once Williams does the error of traiding with Cotto.

No one even knows who Spinks is, I bet when they mention the champions of that division they overlook him like he never was there.

If Cotto does fight Spinks, then I'm not backing him up there.

I have a feeling it will be Sergio. Williams is not selling tickets, he's just not. Cotto needs someone with a fanbase, while Sergio is not a big seller, he's the 154 and 160 champ (he beat Williams in my eyes), that would be huge and I'd be proud as f@ck of Cotto for having the balls to challenge him, Sergio's a bad dude, Cotto would need to bring his A+ game, and even still....

He better stay away from P.Will and Martinez...I think even Cintron could present problems...Spinks is not that good but he could make the fight ugly and is a lil crafty...but I think Cotto can beat Spinks or Angulo...

Cintron actually might be a better route, its a guy with legit power, but who cripples easily under pressure. It be a good way to test Cotto's chin at 154 but not to the point where he'll have to absorb a beating. The fact that they are both PR would probably allow it to be in Yankee stadium again, draw about the same amount of fans as well. Hell, this should really be Cotto's next step then move on to Martinez, Angulo, Williams or even possibly a May/Pac shot.

I think they're gonna take the Amir Khan route of picking non-punching opponents for a little while.
first of all spinks would never accept this fight cause he wants to keep his belt. second of all cotto stated in the post fight interview that he only wants the big names.

Naw, but I think Dzindricantspeelhisname is a possiblity if they are going the non Martinez/Williams route. I relaly hope they avoid Williams. That fight kind of seems like a joke to me. Cotto would do well early, but Paul is too big.

Dont underestimate Cory Spinks, he'd do a lot better than Yuri Foreman, I wouldn't be surprised if Spinks took full advantage of Cotto's slow plodding style.
