    Definition of retiring (For those who said Floyd is retiring)

    "point where a person stops employment completely"



    When Mayweather said he taking a year or 2 off everyone sayin he retiring?

          Mosley been in retired status years ago lol Mayweather to because he already retired once!! Once you do that the public knows youre considering leaving the sport... unless you think Floyd was just hiding out for awhile I wont argue with that.

            Floyd only wants big fights. In other words, fights that generate large sums of money.

            At the time he retired the only big fight option was to rematch Oscar, that's it.

            If he can't get the Pacquiao deal done, then he will have to hope that Martinez has gotten enough attention to warrant a big fight status. Otherwise, Mayweather may take a break and wait for another big fight to develop.

                i thought he said he was retiring...

                then two years later he beat a lightweight and gassed out WW.

                so what really is the definition of retiring? it is when you quit on doing something (boxing) and not do it for a long time.

                in behalf of some posters in here... we simple just get confused with RETIRING with DUCKING. fairly similar definition in the boxing world.
